EarthTech’s landscape designers focus on creating sustainable landscapes. We can design older lawn or groundcover areas to be beautiful seasonally flowering landscapes, by choosing compatible low water use plant alternatives. EarthTech commonly uses native, drought tolerant, insect and disease resistant shrubs, trees, and ornamental grasses. Surfaces are covered with mulch, cobble or bark resulting in a “sustainable landscape”. Landscapes that are attractive, last a long time, save water, and use less fertilizer and pesticides to maintain. Many times, plants that have been left to grow wild, without any human influence, can be turned into beautiful specimens using proper pruning techniques to highlight their natural beauty. A neglected patio may be salvaged by recycling and reusing existing materials. Lawns tend to respond very well to thatching, aeration, topdressing and proper fertilization programs. Worst case scenario, lawns can quickly and easily be replaced to give your yard a fresh new appearance.

Irrigation Installation

Water conservation is likely to be the single most important aspect in the future of Landscape Maintenance. EarthTech irrigation renovations result in the reduction or elimination of water run-off, which conserves the life of building surfaces and parking lots. By carefully going through your system, adjusting, relocating or eliminating heads and changing nozzles, we can also save on your water bill, by ensuring water is placed only where desired.

Inefficient “overhead spray” irrigation can be converted into efficient drip irrigation systems, which, when properly installed, eliminate wasted water. Point source drip irrigation is especially useful in landscapes utilizing plants with differing water needs, because water is delivered to plants on an individual basis and can be controlled by adding or removing emitters. This is also a perfect choice when retrofitting an existing landscape. In-line drip irrigation systems are an excellent choice for annual beds or garden plots as water is expelled at specific intervals (6”, 12”, 18”, etc). EarthTech can evaluate your landscape and recommend the best system for your needs.

“Smart” irrigation controllers (solar powered available) apply water based on current ET (evaportranspiration) rates, which delivers the precise amount of water needed to keep plant material vibrant and healthy throughout changing seasonal weather patterns.

Irrigation Repair/Renovation

EarthTech has year round irrigation technicians available 24/7 to provide you with quick and affordable service. We repair broken pipes and perform general repairs, add irrigation to new plants, install hose bibs and set controller timers. We also troubleshoot irrigation systems that are not performing as desired.

EarthTech provides irrigation winterization and spring start up services for all irrigation types. Winterization services include shutting down your system, turning off your timer and draining the pipes. Additional steps may be necessary, depending on your system. Spring startup includes priming your system, setting your timer, checking for leaks and for appropriate coverage. Again, additional steps may be necessary, depending on your system. Seasonal Color

EarthTech's outdoor services team will create customized seasonal color programs for your commercial landscape to keep your property bursting with color in every season. Using our extensive knowledge and resources, we will provide top quality annuals and perennials to attract attention and compliments from current and potential clients, as well as neighbors and passersby.

EarthTech can create planting bed layouts which incorporate company logos or team mascots. We will utilize plant colors and textures which compliment your facade and call attention to your business or residence.

Tree Service

Certified Arborists are experts who specialize in tree pruning, crown reduction, thinning, clearing, tree removals and stump grinding. Certified Arborists also evaluate trees for safety and diagnose many types of pests and diseases which affect tree health. Tree health is important as many trees are quite large and could be a liability if not properly cared for.

Proper tree care is a very wise investment, as the benefits of established trees far outweigh the cost of their care. Established trees provide shade, thereby negating the heat island effect in paved areas, as well as shelter for wildlife, windbreaks and visual interest. Trees are also required in most commercial settings by city codes.

Field Mowing

Do you have a field or empty lot in need of attention? Are you concerned with the height of the grass or weeds? Is it becoming a fire hazard? Give EarthTech a call - we mow any time of year.

Depending on your needs, we can either leave cut material to naturally decompose or haul it off site. Leaving cuttings on site is recommended for areas with excessive water or slopes as a natural way to help reduce erosion, and can also help to suppress weeds.
